No longer faced with the conundrums of specifics or varying vocabularies (or maybe, Gaeta suspects, the lack of approval from somebody on the Milliways medical staff), Bar readily gives up a collection of antibiotics after Gaeta's talk with Simon. He spares a brief glance at his tab as he picks up the box. I can't put an entire civilization's medical bill on my tab, he'd said; this is only a fraction of the medicine he could've requested, but the number next to FELIX GAETA on the ever-shifting tab board isn't going to be an easy one to repay.
He knows he'll be able to do it, though. "Easy" isn't important; "necessary" is.
