What he's thought the most about, in that span, is their options for escaping from the keep. The potentials are depressingly low; Gaeta's spent the last day attempting to catalog them, and can't have more than three or four on hand -- less, if he eliminates the highly implausible options.
Currently, were anybody to check on him in his room, he would appear to be fast asleep. In reality, he's wide awake, watching the opposite wall, attempting to prioritize and mentally elaborate on the ideas he generated during the day.
