This is one of those days where everything seems to go wrong.

First, Gaeta tripped getting out of bed and slammed his bad knee into the floor. Then he burned breakfast. Then he burned lunch. Down in the Milliways kitchen, half his equipment had gotten swallowed by a miniature vortex overnight (as evidenced by the sorry I opened a tiny vortex last night! note somebody left on the counter), and really, by the end of it, all he wanted to do was get room service and watch trashy movies until Louis got home.

Which, of course, means that as he's easing his way out from behind the bar, he knocks his already-tender knee against a barstool.

"Ow, frak -- !"

"... or dead," Hoshi says for him, very quietly.

[aspenmuses]

"That does not make sense. All of Felix's vitals are in normal ranges; he is in very good health," Baymax tells Hoshi, and then spreads his arms.

"But I detect increasing stress hormones and an elevated heart rate. It is okay."

He moves in to hug Hoshi.

"There, there." A beat. "Felix, you can hug him too. I think he might find it comforting."

Gaeta presses his lips together for a beat, struggling between apology and amusement.

"I think so, too," he says at last, and squeezes next to Louis -- trickier, now, considering the giant inflatable arms wrapped around him -- to join in the group hug.

[aspenmuses]

Baymax reaches out with one arm and enfolds Felix, drawing him closer in.

"I was designed to be squishy and approachable," he points out.




Hoshi begins to laugh.

[mr_gaeta]

So does Gaeta.

"Oh my gods," he manages, muffled by both the laughter and Baymax.

[aspenmuses]

"Laughter is also healthy," Baymax agrees, and squeezes them both again before releasing them.

"Are you feeling better now?"

[mr_gaeta]

"I think I am," says Gaeta. Another glance to Louis: "How about you?"

[faithful_lt]

"Definitely," he agrees. "Uh, thanks, Baymax."

[aspenmuses]

"I cannot deactivate unless you state that you are satisfied with your care," Baymax tells him.

"Besides, I should take care of you during your common cold. I am a personal healthcare companion."

[mr_gaeta]

"It's all right," Gaeta reassures him. "I can take care of him while he's here. And -- "

The metaphorical lightbulb goes on.

"I could check in with you every so often to get advice, how about that?"

[aspenmuses]

"I would be happy to provide any advice or assistance that you need," Baymax replies.

"Louis, with this plan in place, are you satisfied with your care?"

[faithful_lt]

Hoshi glances at Felix, and a warm smile curves his lips.

He's still smiling at Felix as he tells Baymax,

"I am. I'm very satisfied with my care. Thank you."

[mr_gaeta]

Gaeta's own smile softens. He reaches for Louis' hand, giving it a small squeeze.

"Thank you," he echoes.

[aspenmuses]

"You are both very welcome," Baymax tells them.

"I will always be right here if you need me."

He steps back into the red case, immediately beginning the deflation and storage process.

[mr_gaeta]

As the case slides closed around Baymax, Gaeta, still smiling, lets go of Louis' hand so he can settle an arm around his shoulders.

"So," he says. "Soup?"

[faithful_lt]

"Soup," he agrees, leaning into the embrace. "Let's go home, baby."

Hoshi slips his arm around Felix's waist and leads him back upstairs.
